Description: A finely worked miniature face beaker formed from a single sheet of metal raised over a two-part mold. The vessel depicts a stylized human face with almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nose, and a small mouth beneath a collar-like necklace. The rear of the head bears two projecting elements often interpreted as maize cobs, suggesting an association with agricultural symbolism. Face beakers of this type are associated with ceremonial drinking vessels used by Chimú and later Inca elites for the consumption of chicha (maize beer).
