Description: A finely cast Veraguas gold amphibian pendant depicting a stylized frog or turtle with flattened limbs and a bifurcated paddle-shaped tail. Each limb terminates in long looped claws, while a raised ridge runs along the spine of the body. The sculptural symmetry and bold form are characteristic of Veraguas metalwork, in which amphibian imagery held strong symbolic associations with fertility, water, and transformation. Weight: 59.1 grams.
