Description: Pair of hammered sheet-gold ear ornaments decorated in repoussé with opposing stylized condor heads along the upper register. Each ornament features suspended circular gold dangles and is supported by a twisted wire suspension loop. The condor motif reflects the importance of avian imagery in Chavín iconography, symbolizing power and connection between the earthly and celestial realms. Such ornaments were worn as part of ceremonial adOrnament during the Late Chavín period and demonstrate the early sophistication of Andean goldworking traditions.
