The hammered sheet-gold plate is pierced at the center for suspension and terminates in small bird-head finials at each end. Six articulated dangles hang from the lower edge, each shaped as elongated feather elements with stylized bird heads at their terminals, creating movement and sound when worn. The refined sheet-gold work and balanced composition reflect the transitional metalworking traditions between the Salinar culture and the emerging Early Moche tradition on Peru’s north coast.
