Description: A finely worked pair of gold earrings in the form of stylized fish. Each is constructed from two sheets of high-karat gold joined to create a hollow form, with small turquoise inlays set as the eyes. Suspended from the lower edge are smaller dangling fish elements that add movement and visual rhythm to the design. The elegant simplicity of the forms reflects the early development of Andean goldworking traditions.
