Description: Jama Coague large standing Queen Figure with hands held out. Ecuador, Jama Coaque, Northern Manabi Region. The Queen is wearing an elaborate hair style and with rich ornamentation. The figurine is standing in a hieratical pose with traces of aquamarine pigment and a highly burnished short sleeve blouse.The arms are fully tattooed, a sign of high status. She has the traditional ear and nose ornaments & librate.
