Description: Large hammered gold pectoral of classic kidney-shaped form, centering a repoussé human face framed by raised circular elements and bordered by finely incised geometric ornament. The composition reflects the sophisticated metalworking tradition of the Calima culture of western Colombia, particularly associated with the Yotoco phase. Pectorals of this type were worn suspended across the chest as prominent markers of rank and ceremonial authority. A striking example valued for its sculptural presence, iconography, and refined craftsmanship. Weight: 82 grams.
