Description: Large hammered sheet-gold headdress ornament featuring a repoussé anthropomorphic face at the center with stylized facial features and projecting elements. The composition radiates outward into wing-like extensions with multiple suspended gold dangles that would have created movement and reflected light during ceremonial display. Such ornaments formed part of elite regalia in the Calima culture of the Cauca River Valley, particularly during the Yotoco phase, and were worn on elaborate headdresses or ritual costume assemblies.
