Description: Repoussé decorated gold crown of the La Tolita culture, formed from a sheet of high-karat gold and embellished with dense geometric patterning created through repoussé and chasing. The repeating angular motifs cover the exterior surface, while borders of small bosses frame the upper and lower edges. Crowns of this type were worn by elite individuals during ceremonial occasions and served as powerful symbols of rank and authority.
